SBI Clerk 2021 Eligibility Criteria (Junior Associates)

 

The eligibility criteria of the SBI Clerk 2021 exam is mainly about two pre-requisites:

 

  1. Educational Qualification

Graduation Degree: The eligibility criteria for the SBI exam is a graduation degree in any of the streams such as BA, B.Com, BSc, B.Tech, etc., from a University recognized by the Government of India. A candidate who possesses the same qualification from the university recognized by the Central Government is also eligible to apply for this exam. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificates should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01.01.2021. Those who are in the final year/semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.01.2021.

 

Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree:

 

A certificate that supports that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam. The percentage of marks obtained in Graduation should be mentioned at the time of registration for the SBI Bank-Clerk examination.

 

Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computer operations is a must as the SBI Clerk exam is conducted online.

 

Language Proficiency: Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language.

 

  1. Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants:

 

  • Candidates applying for SBI Clerk Examination should be one of the following:

 

  • Citizen of India

 

  • The subject of Nepal or Bhutan

 

  • Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement

 

  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India

 

  • Candidates belonging to categories 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favor.

 

  1. Age Eligibility(01.04.2021)

 

Not below 20 years and not above 28 years as of 01.01.2021, i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1992 and not later than 01.01.2000 (both days inclusive). Besides this, there is age relaxation relevant to category wise candidates as per the government rules:

SBI Clerk 2021 Selection Procedure

 

The selection process of the SBI Clerk consists of 2 phases (preliminary and mains). The candidates must qualify each of them to go on to the next phase.

 

The important steps of the SBI Clerk Recruitment Procedure are as follows:

 

Online Preliminary Examination: The sufficient number of candidates in each category is shortlisted by SBI depending upon the requirements for Online Mains Examination.

 

Online Mains Examination: Candidates need to qualify for each section as well as the overall cut-off in the main exam to be eligible for the Final Selection.

 

Language Proficiency Test: The candidate has to clear the specified local language of the State he/she applied in.

 

Final Result: The Final result is declared on the basis of the merit list in SBI Clerk Mains Exam.

 

Provisional Allotment: The provisional allotment of the eligible candidate is released on the official website. The SBI allows Banks to the candidates on the basis of the preferences they have made at the time of the online registration. SBI plays a role in the selection process until the provisional selection of different banks. Further, the responsibility to inform the qualified candidates about their joining dates and procedures lies with the respective banks.

Phase-I: SBI Clerk 2021 Preliminary Examination (Online)

 

Subsisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be supervised online. This test promising 1 hour period dwelled of 3 Sections as follows. Each test will have a separate time period as mentioned below.

Final Score Calculation for SBI Clerk 2021 Exam:

 

There are certain important points on the basis of which the final score for the SBI Clerk exam is calculated:

 

Marks scored in the Preliminary Exam will not be considered in the final score. These are only taken into account to qualify Mains Exam.

 

Candidates need to qualify for Phase-2

 

The aggregate of 100 marks is used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with a high merit rank in each category are finally selected.

 

Language Proficiency Test (LPT) – Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In the case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates not found proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.

SBI Clerk Pay Scale

 

The latest revision of the Bank Clerk’s salary as per the 10th Bipartite settlement took place on Nov 2012; nonetheless, the final agreement was signed in May 2015.
